The Christmas season is upon us at Hanne & Co!

This week, the trainee solicitors and paralegals were treated to an evening of ice skating at Somerset House. Trainees, paralegals and partners alike were all very impressed to learn that our very own Elizabeth Simos, who is about to qualify into the Family Department, was a professional skater in her previous life – having represented Greece in international competitions! Elizabeth did an exceptional job of keeping the less well-balanced trainees on their feet. A good time was certainly had by all whatever ever the level of their skating.

The event followed our annual Trainee Christmas Moot, which sees the trainees and paralegals debate in courtroom advocacy style around a Christmas orientated motion. This year’s winner was Nathaniel Garner, who successfully argued against the motion that ‘Christmas dinner just would not be Christmas dinner without the turkey’. Well done Nathaniel!
