The Hanne & Co Charity Committee have put together a virtual quiz for colleagues. It is important to keep in touch with colleagues especially during these hard times. With our offices closed during the COVID 19 lockdown there is no better way to keep in touch than a quiz! All proceeds from the charity quiz will be going to our charity of the year, the Wandsworth Foodbank.

Hanne & Co Charity “Guess The Eggs” Competition
During lockdown the Hanne & Co Charity Committee have been getting creative with their social distancing fundraising. This Easter they have chosen a “Guess the Eggs” internal competition. Trickier than you think when you only have the below photo! Needless to say there were a lot of Mini Eggs to eat afterwards.
The competition raised £55.00 (and counting) for Hanne & Co’s Charity of the Year, The Wandsworth Foodbank. Charities like the Wandsworth Foodbank need any donation possible, especially during these difficult times.

Massive Half Marathon Efforts Raise £750 for Katherine Low Settlement
Congratulations to Hanne & Co’s Steven Bannell, Jack Glover and Katharine Whittingham who all completed the Victoria Park Half Marathon on Saturday and posted incredible times!
Steven came in fastest at 1:42:27 – placing him 35th in the V35 category.
Jack was not far behind at 1:45:44 – giving him a creditable 163rd in the main male category.
However, the pick of the bunch was Katharine whose amazing time of 1:58:07 placed her 82nd (out of 199) in the main female category.
Not content with one half marathon, Steven and Jack came back for more on Sunday at the Surrey Half Marathon. As is to be expected, two in two days was a real challenge but they both showed real grit and determination in completing the second race and while their times were not as fast as the previous day they were nevertheless very respectable.
A big thank you to the three of them for their fantastic efforts which raised just under £750 for Hanne & Co’s chosen charity The Katherine Low Settlement.
The Sporting Superstars of Hanne & Co

All three of them will be taking on the Victoria Park Half on Saturday while on Sunday Steven and Jack will also run the Surrey Half Marathon.
If you would like to support this fantastic effort, you may do so here. All sponsorship will be appreciated.
Great Hanne & Co Bake Off – And the Winner Is…Katherine Low Settlement!
Well done to our 11 bakers who put on a fantastic display of skill in the Great Hanne & Co Bake Off that would have left any master patissier looking nervously over their shoulder!
First prize went to Justina Ricci, our returning champion, whose Levant-inspired rosewater & pistachio cake (second from left) had the judges sampling more than their responsibilities might seem to require.
What was left over after the unreasonably long tasting was sold off to Hanne & Co staff, some of whom were queuing up outside, and the handsome sum of £129 was raised for our very worthy chosen charity.

Valentine’s Day means…
Yes, it’s that time of year again…Hanne & Co’s annual bake off!
Delectable delights hand-baked by our multi-talented staff – it’s not only excellent witness statements that our solicitors can cook up – and judged by our very own Bake Off dream team of Mary Stewart, Lorna Cservenka and Maisie Lockyer. Suffice to say the tricky task of selecting the lucky judges almost turned into a bun fight!
All for KLS, our chosen charity.
Winners, photos and amount raised to follow next week!
Charity Pub Quiz
A fantastic charity quiz, raffle and auction last night at The Sir Christopher Hatton pub raised an amazing £3,130 for Hanne & Co’s chosen charity – Katherine Low Settlement
In addition to our own Hanne & Co colleagues, around 70 other solicitors and barristers from 10 firms and chambers donated generously in what was a fun-filled evening of brain-teasers, nervous tension and high-stakes bidding.
Congratulations to Ely Place (below) – defending champions, who proved that last year’s victory in the quiz was no fluke.
Many thanks to Hanne’s Charity Committee for running a perfectly organized evening for such a great cause. A special mention to Steve Bannell – Master of Ceremonies, Quizmaster, Raffle Ticket Drawer and Announcer and Auctioneer Extraordinaire – whose boundless energy helped ensure everything went so smoothly.
