Representing Guardians

Our child care team presently has five Law Society accredited Children Panel members.

Our Approach

In accordance with our undertaking to the Law Society we will always personally represent the children in care proceedings or other disputes where the child has separate representation unless it is in the child’s best interest for us not to do so. This means that we will conduct our own advocacy wherever possible, although we may instruct counsel to represent the child in highly complex cases.

We are happy to travel to courts within the greater London area to represent you and may also travel to courts outside this area.

We provide a highly professional service to all of our clients and are happy to be appointed by children’s guardians in private law proceedings where the child is separately represented under rule 9.5 Family Proceedings Rules, as well as in care and supervision proceedings.

We are also experienced in representing children via their Guardian in proceedings before the Inner London Family Proceedings Court Family Drug and Alcohol Court.

We aim to build a good working relationship with all the Guardians we represent and we find that many are happy to seek our representation in other court proceedings.
